The best and worst movies of 2022

2023-01-12 12:49

Happy new year! As a new year dawns I always like to look back at the best and worst movies of the past year.

The best movies of 2022 are currently The Banshees of Inisherin, Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, Top Gun: Maverick, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, The Woman King, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio, and The Batman.

In the review of 2021 I had already watched four of the best movies of 2021. This year I've already seen five of the best movies, I just have to watch The Banshees of Inisherin, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and The Woman King. I'm going to watch The Banshees of Inisherin as soon as it hits theaters here in the Netherlands at the end of this month I'll watch it; the other two are also on my list. Nice to see Good Luck to You, Leo Grande and Top Gun: Maverick on the list as they were my two favorite movies of the year.

The worst movies of 2022 are currently Deep Water, Firestarter, Moonfall, Halloween Ends, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Morbius, Pinocchio, and Empire of Light.

In 2021, I had limited myself to watching only one of the worst movies of 2021. This year I haven't even seen any of the worst movies of the past year!
