It’s certainly not a terrible movie, though. I had a lot of fun with it.
It has its moments where you feel like you can’t look away or can’t pause, but it also gets really boring and tedious too.
I don’t think the film feels magical enough to feel special. It mostly just feels like another movie.
If you’re a fan of the Saw and Cube franchises like I am, you’ll probably love this film too, regardless of the fact that its PG-13 limitation systematically means no gore.
It’s entertaining without really trying to be for the most part.
So, as messy as the film can sometimes be, it’s still somewhat strong when it comes to the matters going on behind-the-scenes, as I’ll mention later, but the bottom line is that the visuals and animation is very impressive and the cinematography was incredibly clever in the way that the film is shot in relation to separating reality and fantasy.
It’s not what you expect, but you welcome it anyway – but the film isn’t without its flaws.
I don’t really think it’s a highly discussion-worthy movie, but overall, yeah, I’d say entertaining.
It’s not that war and romance can’t go together…it’s that they just don’t mix here.
Amazingly, they made the bold choice to revisit the same exact day and loop it again, only this time, they changed enough details in a Butterfly Effect kind of way to create an all-new mystery. By doing this, and by introducing new characters into the mix, as well as keeping the old ones around, they were able to keep the story as fresh as the original.
They did a good job at keeping things interesting and fresh.
Holmes & Watson never actually takes itself seriously enough to do a good job.
It is a Disney movie with Mary Poppins, so at the very least, the bones of something meaningful is there...
As far as what blew me away specifically? The visuals. The artistic design behind this movie is intense and unlike anything else I have even seen in the year.
All-in-all, this causes the film to feel over-convoluted and longer than it really is, making the viewing of the film ultimately more negative than need-be.
Whatever technicalities may or may not be wrong with this movie, I still found it rather entertaining all around...
It’s just a light-hearted film that doesn’t ask for much.
I’m not fully sure what made this movie forgettable. From an outward viewpoint, there is a fresh take on the overdone concept...
I’m glad they gave it their all, because for a cheap indie movie, it got the point across and wasn’t half bad.
Their chemistry is fine, yet nothing particularly exciting or memorable. The comedy and drama is mostly mixed together well, but it lacks any kind of emotional connection with the audience...
Halfway Decent? Sure, I think the filmmakers ultimately made the movie they wanted to make.
As a thriller it does an okay job keeping thrills up, but the lack of depth kept you from caring that much.
As a comedy, does it pull of what it tries to pull off. Honestly, I did laugh at a few parts – emphasis on the few.
